Under-sink leaks in Monterey Park

A damp cabinet floor, a bucket under the trap, or white crust on a valve are all signs. Empty the cabinet and text a photo to (310) 628-9399.

Crust on a valve is a warning

In very hard water, a slow seep at a shutoff or compression nut leaves a white or green crust as the water evaporates. That crust means a leak has been going a while.

Old multi-turn stem valves are the usual source. We replace them with quarter-turn valves on the existing pipe.

Supply lines

Older solid or plastic supply tubes crack with age. Braided stainless lines like the ones pictured are the standard replacement, sized to the faucet and valve.

We swap them while the water is off for the valve.

Drain-side leaks

Slip-joint nuts on traps loosen; old chrome traps corrode through. A leaking basket strainer needs to be pulled and reset.

If the cabinet floor is soft or the wall is wet, we point it out so it can dry.
